Palm-Aire Country Club - Sarasota, FLIn the rich history of Florida golf, there is one golf community which stands out as a legend... Palm-Aire Country Club. This unique, member-owned equity club has certainly stood the test of time. Palm-Aire Country Club offers two superb 18-hole, par 72 championship golf courses, The Champions and The Lakes.

The original golf course, The Champions, was built in 1957 to challenge some of the world's finest players. Golf enthusiasts across America had their first glimpse of this pristine piece of property when the Champions course debuted on Shell's Wonderful World of Golf - the first nationally televised golf program. The show featured legendary names such as Gary Player, Sam Snead, and Ken Venturi, who came to compete at Palm-Aire Country Club. Today this course, designed by world-renowned golf course architect Dick Wilson, also provides the avid golfer an enjoyable golf experience.

Complementing the Champions is the Lakes course. The newer of the two courses, The Lakes opened in 1982. Ranked as one of the best courses in Florida by Florida Golfweek Magazine, it certainly does not stand in its older sibling's shadow. As the name suggests, the Joe Lee-designed course meanders around sparkling lakes and boasts well-guarded greens and spectacular approaches. Both courses have five tee box locations on every hole to accommodate each level of play, and both have recently been totally renovated with luxurious greens, manicured to perfection. The entire layout is located in 1,400 magnificent acres of scenic Florida woodlands, making it one of the largest clubs in the Greater Sarasota area. Residents in Palm-Aire can take advantage of owning a personal golf cart, using it to ride to the course and clubhouse from home. And because you need not be a resident of the community to belong to the club, Palm-Aire accommodates the non-resident member with convenient cart storage for member-owned vehicles.

Palm-Aire Country Club, Sarasota, FlBut Palm-Aire Country Club is not only about golf. The club offers recreation and social opportunities for all. The centerpiece of this premier club is the beautiful multi-million-dollar Spanish-style clubhouse - the ultimate in gracious entertaining. The atmosphere is perfectly suited to the casually elegant lifestyle of the Florida resident with all of the amenities befitting a private club. The expansive clubhouse overlooks the quiet waters of the lake surrounding the 18th green of the Champions course, and features an attractive formal dining room, casual grille, lanai, lounge, fully stocked pro shops, men's and women's locker rooms, meeting rooms and card rooms. There is never a question of where to go for dinner, as it doesn't get any better than dining at this club. Presiding over the dining room is Steve Hodge, Palm-Aire's gourmet chef. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Steve has consistently been honored by his peers by being named by the Sarasota Bay Chefs Association "Chef of the Year" for five years in a row. Quite an accomplishment, considering the number of fine dining establishments in the Sarasota area.

The fitness center boasts 10 tennis courts, six lighted Har-Tru and two hard courts, next to a refreshing junior-olympic-size pool. Peaceful roads wind throughout the community and are designed for biking, jogging, or quiet moonlight strolls. Nature at its finest enhances and sets the stage for this quiet, luxurious lifestyle.

All residences offer the luxurious amenities one would expect from such a prestigious community.
