In November 2007 University Park Country Club introduced its new semiprivate club format which included daily greens fee access to the golfing community, a transition which further established it as the premier golfing and country club experience in the region. Limited summer memberships in golf, tennis and dining categories are now available for the first time at Manatee and Sarasota's premier golf facility.

The course is meticulously maintained and in superior condition. Over the past five years the golf course has undergone a major revitalization which included rebuilt tee complexes, the installation of the latest hybrid grass, TifEagle Ultra Dwarf on all 27 greens and most recently, the renovation of the driving range and the addition of a “short game” practice area.
