Nova Southeastern won the University of South Florida Invitational at Waterlefe Golf and River Club on Tuesday. The competition was fierce, with some 16 college women’s teams from around the country in contention for the championship.
The University of South Florida's Jennifer Neville shot a 220 for 54 holes. Neville is from Bradenton. Ericka Schneider of Lakewood Ranch fired a 232, competing for Daytona State College.
Waterlefe’s unrivaled natural setting along the Manatee River is composed of a collection of signature golf holes designed by course architect Ted McAnlis. The competitive layout presents a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. There are five sets of tees ranging in length from 4,700 to 6,908 yards. Features include five unforgettable holes that touch and border the scenic Manatee River. Additional amenities include an aqua range, practice putting green, full-service pro shop, grille room and beverage cart service.
